Consultant

A Consultant is a mid-level resource who supports multiple projects.  They will directly support client requirements and objectives.  They have established fundamental consulting and technical skills but are undertaking further development and refinement.  Consultants report to Engagement or Product Leaders but may act as a team lead for smaller projects.  Opportunities to support RG business growth initiatives will typically be introduced at this level.

  • Non-Degree: 5+ years
  • BA/BS: 3+ years
  • Masters: 2+ years

  • Composes, proofreads, and edits documents or correspondence involving technical information
  • Effectively lead client/team meetings
  • Uses graphics and other aids to clarify complex or technical information

  • Independently researches issues to gain further clarification or understanding
  • Applies technical expertise to situations
  • Develops strategies that are consistent with program mission and priorities
  • Manages multiple tasks at the same time
  • Recovers quickly from setbacks

Problem Solving

  • Recognizes all factors that impact the situation at hand
  • Approaches complex tasks by breaking them down into smaller components to better analyze
  • Weighs the costs, benefits, and risks when planning
  • Evaluates alternatives and makes sound and timely decisions
