RG strives to provide the greatest level of consideration for any open position to our current employees. If you are interested in examining opportunities outside of your current role, we offer these guidelines for how to best initiate this process.
- Have an initial conversation with your current supervisor indicating your interest in examining other opportunities. For sites that require a longer on-boarding process, there may be some steps taken towards identifying a potential backfill, but even if one is identified, this process will not move forward until a new position has been secured for you.
- If after having an honest conversation with your supervisor it is felt that there is nothing that can increase your satisfaction with your current role, update your resume on SynRG. While you're on SynRG, make sure to update the rest of your profile as well, including travel/relocation preferences and education/certifications.
- Once you have updated your resume, review our Internal Careers Page for any current/upcoming opportunities that you would be interested in applying for, or finding out more information about.
- Even if you do not see an opportunity on the careers page that you are interested in, reach out to the Recruiting team as soon as you are considering leaving your current engagement. During this discussion with your Recruiter, highlight what you are looking for in your next position, whether it be new challenges, a salary/level increase, location, etc. This is all information that needs to be made known BEFORE any interview can take place to ensure that there is no miscommunication regarding expectations.
- Once the Recruiting team has verified that you have had a discussion with your manager informing them of your interest in switching roles, we will add your name and pertinent information to the Weekly Staffing Report to increase your visibility within the organization. This report is sent out to all leads within the organization as well as support staff.
- Be patient. Moving to a new engagement is not usually an overnight process. Finding an opportunity that will afford you the new challenges you are searching for takes time to identify and transition into. The sooner you notify Recruiting that you are interested in a change, the sooner we can start working to finding your next step towards career development and advancement with RG.
